February 2026 update

Dodder Greenway Section 5 Firhouse Road/Butterfield Avenue

Section 5 of the Dodder scheme has substantially completed construction with minor works currently being constructed to the extension on Firhouse Road and is expected to be soon completed.

Grand Canal to Lucan Urban Greenway - Phase 1a: Grange Castle to N4

Construction of Phase 1a nearing completion. Works in Griffeen Valley Park have been completed with construction shortly to be completed on Griffeen Avenue with new crossings being put into place.

Templeville Road Active Travel Scheme Phase 2:

Construction ongoing at the Roundabout at the junction of Wainsfort Road and Templeville Road with Concrete Islands being put into place at the roundabout and improved vehicular entrances being installed at surrounding properties.

Firhouse Road Active Travel Improvement Scheme:

Construction has begun to upgrade existing walking and cycling facilities on Firhouse Road. These works are being delivered under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

Rapid deployment- Glendown Road

Rapid deployment works on Glendown Road nearing completion with works to be done end of April. Scheme connects into Wellington Lane and Templeville Road schemes in order to provide a complete network in area.
